Many thousands of Minneapolis area homes were damaged in the hail storm of August 2013. The roof of this Edina home was one such affected house. The homeowners chose Trinity Exteriors as their roofing contractor after seeing the work we did on many of the neighboring houses. We offered the homeowners a free inspection and, upon finding significant hail denting, we met with the homeowners and their insurance adjuster. During that meeting, we were able to point out the damage directly to the adjuster, who was inspecting dozens of homes that day alone. Once the insurance company agreed to the scope of the work, we got started tearing off the old damaged shingles. The decking for the roof was also significantly impaired, so we put down new OSB in order to bring the roof up to city code. Then we installed an Ice & Water shield to protect against driving wind and rain. The homeowners selected Owens Corning Oakridge asphalt shingles in Flagstone, which is one of the most trusted products in the roofing industry. The new roof will last decades, and will certainly protect the home against water damage for many years to come.
