Challenge
When a storm came through Rochester, it left significant damage to this home’s roofing and siding. They decided that if they were going to file a claim, they might as well make their exterior into the dream home they’ve always wanted. Their friend referred them to Trinity Exteriors, and they assured them that they would have a worry free, seamless experience.
Solution
When we performed our free inspection, we found damage to both the roofing and siding. The homeowner filed an insurance claim, and once that claim was approved, we got to work immediately! The first step of the project was the roof. We removed the damaged shingles, and we found that the roof decking was in great shape, so then we were able to lay down Ice & Water Shield, which gives the home additional protection against high winds or driving rain. After this, we installed the new premium shingles, which the homeowners chose Owens Corning Duration Shingle in Estate Gray. Once the roof was completed, we moved onto the siding. We tore off the damaged siding and wrapped the house with Tyvek HomeWrap, which gives the home an extra layer of protection against any water or moisture damage. We finished the home by installing Norandex Cedar Knolls Vinyl Siding in the homeowners’ choice of Deep Water. Once the home was complete, we did a thorough cleanup of the home and surrounding landscape.
