Winter this year has been especially brutal when it comes to the amount of snow we’ve had, which will eventually lead to ice dams. This homeowner noticed ice dams coming through the soffits, specifically around two areas of the roof. In order to avoid costly repairs, they called Trinity Exteriors to help.

Solution:
Trinity Exteriors went out to the home and began by chiseling away the existing ice dams to within 2-3 inches of the roof, as we didn’t want to cause any damage to the existing shingles. We then moved onto snow removal of the roof. This home had 10 different skylights throughout the home, so we too extra precaution to protect these skylights during the snow removal process. Normally we do a thorough removal of the snow that falls onto the walkways, but the homeowner opted to do it themselves. Once everything was complete and the crew was packed up, the homeowner was grateful for the attention to detail we took and protecting the skylights of the home!
