Strong hailstorms came through the Twin Cities Metro Area, and Shakopee was one of the cities that was hit pretty hard. The homeowners knew they needed someone to come out and inspect their home for damage. A friend recommended they contact Trinity Exteriors due to their previous positive experience with us!
Our representative started with a free inspection of their roof and siding, and he determined they had plenty of damage, and the homeowners decided to file an insurance claim for their home. Once that was in process, we worked with the homeowners by helping them choose the colors that they wanted for their roof and siding. Before any of the roof replacement began, we laid down tarps to protect the landscaping, the deck, and their backyard pool. After his was done, we tore off the old, damaged shingles. We inspected the decking to ensure it was up to code and that there were no “mushy” spots that could cause future issues with leaks. After laying down Synthetic Underlayment, we put down a layer of Ice & Water Shield and also adding an additional layer over the front entryway for extra protection. This helps ensure that there are no leaks and protects against driving rain and high winds. Our final step was to install Premium IKO Dynasty AR Shingles in the color “Dual Brown”. After a thorough inspection and cleanup, we were able to move onto the siding.
The next part of the project began by tearing off the old, damaged siding. We then installed Tyvek Housewrap around the entire house, which protects against leaks and allows the house to “breathe” during the change of seasons and controls moisture from getting behind the siding itself. The homeowner chose Mastic Carvedwood Siding in the color “Montana Suede”. To add an additional pop of color, they chose to add Vinyl Freeze Board Trim in “White”. After installation was complete, the homeowners were thrilled with the results don’t have to worry when the next storm comes around!
