Challenge:

Hail can wreak havoc on your home’s exterior, and that’s exactly what happened to this Golden Valley home. The homeowners leveraged their referral network and determined that Trinity Exteriors was the right contractor to restore their home to its best condition.

Solution:

To help these homeowners prepare for future storms, we started with the basis of the project. After a free inspection, we discovered hail damage, and we began the restoration process. Once we tore off the old shingles, we always inspect the decking of the roof to ensure it is up to building code.

Once we determined everything was, in fact, up to code, we laid down Ice & Water Barrier as an additional layer of protection against high winds and driving rain. The homeowner also requested that they’d like additional Ice & Water Barrier above the garage as well as over the front entryway. The crew then installed the premium Owens Corning Duration Shingles in “Estate Gray”. Once this was complete, we replaced 8 different roof vents to ensure the home had proper ventilation.

After the roof was replaced, we moved onto the siding. The homeowners chose to replace their current siding with Mastic Carvedwood Vinyl Siding in “Pebblestone Clay”. We tore off the old, hail damaged siding and wrapped the home in Tyvek Housewrap, which is essential for ventilation purposes and protects the home against harsh temperatures. We then installed the new vinyl siding, and the new colors looked great! Our final step is to do an extensive clean-up of the yard to ensure there were no spare nails or debris. The homeowners loved the Estate Gray color and the assurance of protection against any future hailstorm damage.
