After a wind and hail storm, Minneapolis area roofing and siding contractor reset the vinyl siding and installed new Tamko Heritage asphalt shingles.
After the tear off, the Trinity Exteriors crew followed building codes with an Ice & Water Barrier to protect against driving wind and rain.
Here's the finished product from the Farmington, MN roof restoration.
The Thunderstorm Grey color of these new asphalt shingles provides a modern and updated look for the Farmington home, and the impact resistant shingles will protect the home from future hail storms.
Sometimes it's surprising how much damage wind can cause to a house. In this case, wind had torn off a section of vinyl siding, and within the same storm, strong hail dented the roof's asphalt shingles. This homeowners found Minneapolis area roofing and siding contractor Trinity Exteriors through our free home inspection offer.
Our inspection showed a significant amount of damage requiring a roof replacement, but the vinyl siding would be a relatively simple repair. We tore off the old asphalt shingles and inspected the decking below the roofing materials. The wood planks were within the parameters of local building codes, so we were able to put down the Ice & Water Barrier to provide additional protection against driving wind and rain.
We worked with the Farmington homeowners to select their new shingles: Tamko Heritage IR in Thunderstorm Grey. The color complemented the existing vinyl very well. For the siding damaged during the wind storm, we detached and reset the torn off sections. The homeowners now have peace of mind that the siding is going to stay put through Minnesota's next storm season.
