The Trinity Exteriors crew first came onto this project through a free inspection to investigate and document how much damage the exteriors had suffered during a hail storm.
Siding expert Trinity Exteriors installed new Mastic vinyl siding in this photo.
After the tear off, our crew discovered the roof decking was in unsafe conditions. We installed entirely new OSB decking to bring the home up to local building codes.
After we upgraded this home's roofing, siding and gutters, the house is safe, up to code, and better than the day it was built.
Hail damage decimated this Richfield, MN home's exterior. The homeowner was referred to us through a friend who had used us for previous work. We met with the homeowner when their insurance adjuster was present in order to offer our expertise on the scope of the work necessary to restore the home's roofing, siding and gutters.
First, we removed the old, damaged roofing shingles to resheath the home with OSB decking, since the existing wood planks had severe gaps and even holes in some areas. With a solid deck up to code, we installed the homeowners' new asphalt shingle choice, Tamko Heritage 30 in Autumn Brown. Next, we tackled the flat roof part of the home, replacing the rubber roof with new EPDM.
Once again, when working with the new siding we had to upgrade the Richfield house to meet local Minneapolis building codes. We did this with the help of Tyveck house wrap, which keeps moisture out of the house while letting water vapor escape from the interior, increasing the energy efficiency of the home. Installing the siding itself upgraded the exterior's appearance. The homeowners chose a modern Mastic Vinyl Carvedwood Double 5" Woodgrain in White. The fascia and soffit we installed were pre-bent seamless aluminum in Musket.
The last improvement on the house was the seamless aluminum gutters, also in Musket.
