Before the project started, this siding was old and damaged.
Requiring housewrap is still a relatively new code requirement. Housewrap increases the energy efficiency of the house.
James Hardie requires accelerated skill to install. Here we took pains to properly install and prevent any cracking of the materials. The hard work paid off in beautiful accents to the gables of this Mendota Heights residence.
The finished product: A beautifully upgraded home that is timeless yet modern.
This project came to roofing and siding contractor Trinity Exteriors through a trusted referral. The homeowners wanted a complete exterior upgrade to their Mendota Heights, MN home. We started the project by completely tearing off and removing the old wood siding and aging asphalt shingles. For the roof, we first put down a layer of Owens Corning Weatherlock Ice & Water Shield to meet code, then installed Owens Corning Duration asphalt shingles in Driftwood. The next step was to bring the house up to city code with Tyveck housewrap. The lap siding was Prefinished LP SmartSide Trim and Siding in textered 8" strand in Tan color. In the gables, we accented the home with Prefinished 16" James Hardie Heritage Staggered Edge Shake in Hampton Red. The trim was Prefinished LP SmartSide in White or Tan, depending on location. We finished this project up with new seamless aluminum gutters in White.
