Description: This home was hit hard from a hail storm in August 2013. Both the roof and the siding had to be replaced. The Trinity Exteriors crew first installed a new Owens Corning Oakridge in Desert Tan roof, then removed the original asbestos siding to install new James Hardie siding in Woodland Cream. Finally, new gutters were the last piece of the project.

When a home sits high on the edge of a beautiful wooded bluff, wildlife can be found in anywhere. (especially Woodpeckers).
Damage caused to wooden buildings by these winged beauties may take one of several forms and yes, you’re not alone if these birds have set their sights on your humble abode. Woodpeckers are capable of drilling holes into wood siding, eaves, window frames, and trim boards. They prefer cedar and redwood siding, but will damage pine, fir, cypress, and others when choices are limited. Natural or stained wood surfaces are preferred over painted wood, and newer houses in an area are often primary targets. Sound familiar?
When TJ & Jen reached out to Trinity Exteriors, Inc., we had the perfect solution for their line of defense. It's called James Hardie. A little-known fact about HardiePlank siding is that this line of “woodpecker proof products” can be more durable than most traditional MASONRY products in a hot humid climate like ours!
Our makeover includes: James Hardie Siding, Color Plus, Textured Color in TIMBER BARK and the home’s trim in Color Plus SMOOTH IRON GRAY!

Cedar siding, although beautiful, takes a lot of work to maintain, and at some point it just may not be worth it to some homeowners. For this house in Minnetonka, the homeowners knew they wanted the look of cedar but more durable, and settled on James Hardie Color Plus Textured in Monterey Taupe. Highly resistant to impact, and warrantied against fading paint, the siding will look this good for many years to come.
