Challenge:
These homeowners suspected they may have hail damage when they noticed a few bad shingles on their roof. They weren’t sure if they should file an insurance claim yet, so they were referred to Trinity Exteriors by a friend, who had previously done work with us.
Solution:
We went to the home to do a free inspection of the roof, and we let the homeowner know that there was enough damage that they should file an insurance claim. Throughout the entirety of the project, we helped guide them by working with their insurance to ensure they get everything they need. Before we even began the restoration process, the homeowners let us know they were very concerned about their landscaping, as they put a lot of hard work into it. We made sure to cover their nearby landscaping so that no flyaway shingles would cause any damage. Once that was complete, we tore off the existing shingles. During our initial consultation, we noticed that the home had spaced decking which was not up to code. Because of this, we replaced the entire roof deck before we were able to get to the rest of the installation. Once the re-decking was completed, we laid down a Synthetic Underlayment along with Ice & Water Barrier, both of which help protect the roof against water infiltration from driving rains. We then installed the homeowners’ choice of Premium Tamco Titan XT Shingles in “Rustic Evergreen”. Venting is essential with a roof, so we also put in 8 roof vents to make sure that the home gets proper airflow. After everything was completed, we did a thorough clean up of the surrounding landscape to ensure there were no nails left behind. The homeowners loved the pop of color on their brand-new roof!
