When a hail storm severely damages a house, most commonly the roofing shingles and sometimes the siding need to be replaced. Such was the case when a spring 2015 storm hit Stillwater, an Eastern Minnesota city. The homeowners saw many of their neightbors were replacing their roofs, so they thought their home may have hail damage. They called roofing contractor Trinity Exteriors for a free roof inspection. We found hail stone damage on the asphalt shingles and also the siding.
When actual building began, we tore off all the old, damaged shingles before putting down the Ice & Water Barrier and roofing felt. We then installed the homeowners' choice of Tamko Heritage 30 in Thunderstorm Grey. Since the siding also showed hail damage, we tore off the old vinyl and installed new Mastic Structure 7" Clapboard in Everest, and Mastic Board & Batten style siding in the gables of the home.
