Our free roof inspection showed the obvious reason this chimney was leaking: poor flashing and caulking.

In this photo, the flashing is a full inch above the roof, easily allowing water in.

We tore off around the damaged area of the roof to lay down a protective layer of Ice & Water Barrier, and to build the cricket.

This cricket will divert water around the chimney to the gutters, where it will be channelled away from the house.
